From June 19 to 21, 2025, Professors Chattrakul Sombattheera and Panich Sudkhot from Thailand were warmly welcomed in Ho Chi Minh City during a three-day academic visit to Vietnam. Their trip focused on collaborative discussions and a site inspection in preparation for the upcoming MIWAI 2025 international conference.
Invited by Assoc. Prof. Quan Thanh Tho from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT), the professors joined a meeting with local faculty members to discuss plans for the MIWAI 2025 conference. Following the meeting, they visited a proposed venue to evaluate its suitability for hosting the event.
Throughout the visit, the professors were escorted by a student from HCMUT who supported them during their time in the city. With the student’s help, they had the opportunity to explore the cultural richness of Ho Chi Minh City. They visited local landmarks, sampled traditional Vietnamese cuisine, and experienced unique favorites such as egg coffee. The exchange of perspectives between Thai and Vietnamese academics added a valuable dimension to the visit.
