20.10.2025: URA’s First Celebration of Vietnamese Women’s Day

This morning, the URA Research Group held its very first celebration of Vietnamese Women’s Day, marking a meaningful moment for the team. The event was initiated and led by Mr. Thien Long, with the participation of all female members and Prof. Quan Thanh Tho, manager of the URA research group.

Although simple, the gathering carried a warm and genuine spirit. It was a chance for everyone to pause amid the busy research schedule and show appreciation for the women who have been contributing quietly but strongly to the group’s success. During the event, Prof. Tho shared his thoughts on the growing diversity within URA. He noted that the group might be among the few research teams with a remarkable number of female members—especially undergraduate students, who have joined in recent years. Their presence, he emphasized, brings new energy, perspectives, and balance to the team’s working culture.

To make the celebration more personal, Long prepared small gifts and “handwritten” cards for each participant. Adding a lighthearted touch, the refreshment menu featured a special drink — Vietnam Airlines milk tea, which became an amusing highlight of the morning and a fun symbol of “taking flight” toward new horizons.

Beyond the smiles and photos, the celebration reflected URA’s values: respect, inclusiveness, and human connection. While research excellence remains the group’s central mission, URA believes that a positive and supportive environment is what sustains innovation and teamwork over time. The event concluded with laughter, gratitude, and the promise that this would not be the last. URA plans to continue celebrating Vietnamese Women’s Day in future years — as a small but meaningful tradition that honors the people behind the research, and the spirit that keeps the team moving forward together.

A cheerful morning at URA celebrating our first Vietnamese Women’s Day
