On the morning of January 10, 2025, the “Artificial Intelligence for Software Engineering” workshop was successfully held at Hall B4 of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology – Vietnam National University. The event not only attracted a large number of students from the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering but also brought together leading experts in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Software Engineering.
The workshop featured several distinguished speakers:
- Assoc. Prof. Tho Quan, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering, HCMUT, who presented on “Generative AI and real use-cases with Copilot.”
- Mr. Huu Pham, CEO of IVS, who discussed the transition from pilot to real projects with “Copilot-integrated Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) in Software Processes.”
- Mr. Truong Hua, CEO of YouthDev, who spoke on “GenAI for Test-case Generation and further Applications.”
- Dr. Binh Nguyen, CEO of DR Digital, who explored “AI solutions for Business: Meeting Real-World Demands with Innovative Solutions.”
- Prof. Hoa Dam from the University of Wollongong, Australia, who provided insights on “AI for Software Engineering: Research and Opportunities.”
Highlights of the Workshop:
- Open Discussion: Attendees had the opportunity to pose direct questions to the experts, which opened up diverse perspectives on AI applications.
- Networking Activities: Many valuable networking opportunities were utilized, helping students build new relationships within the technology community.
The event was also an occasion for the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering to affirm its pioneering role in connecting knowledge and technology with the student community.
